Bio:
Rosa, is the total opposite of Celia, Celia is nice and
caring while Rosa is not. She’s cold hearted, and doesn’t see much more to Matt
than the fact that he is an abomination of the human race. There’s not much
more to say than the fact the she’s cold hearted, not caring, and not
thoughtful what so ever.
We picked Maribel Verdu for Rosa, because she is a very
popular Spanish actor with little English movie popularity. We mostly picked
her because of her looks however, because she and Rosa both seem llike the mean
and devious type.
Casting Celia
Jennifer Lopez as Celia
Bio:
Celia is a caring women, she is honest and is always smiling. She believes in the power of religion and cares for Matt as is she were his mother. She is a maid and Chief cook for the Big House.
Celia is strong and fights for what she believes.
Why We Chose This Actress:
We chose Jennifer Lopez mainly for her looks. When he both thought of Celia we thought of someone who was smaller, hispanic etc. Instantly i thought of her in the movie Maid in Manhattan and we both agreed she was a perfect fit. In the movie Jennifer is an honest women who loves caring for others, she loves her job and the children she cares but she always wants more. Corey and i both agreed that, that is what and who Celia came of to be.
Casting Matt
Taylor Lautner as Matt
Bio:
Matt is a young clone who doesn't understand whats wrong with him. He is a loves life kind of person and finds joy in the small things. He can lose his temper on occasion but he always feel guilty and genuinely upset about it after. He doesn't know why he is a clone, what is wrong with clones, or why they are so hated upon by these people but he is bound to make everyone treat him a human.
Why We Chose This Actor:
We chose taylor because when we thought of Matt we both thought of an innocent, almost baby like child. When we were thinking of actors i immediately thought of Taylor as a kid just because he had that baby face but still looked mature. A big part of why we chose him was also because of his hair. It sounds crazy but we both picture Matt with spikyish hair and Taylor just seemed to fit perfectly.
Casting Tom
Ronald Billius as Tom
Bio:
Tom is funny, but very immature. The things he does are meant to and often succeed in hurting others. His main target is Matt but he always gets fun out of torchering Maria and other as well. He acts as if he is the biggest int he house, he rules all and he knows everything, when really he is only a child, an immature one at that.
Why We Chose This Actor:
Reading into the book we found out that Tom had "bristly red hair". We didn't know who we wanted to cast him as and it took us awhile until we had a suggestion that Ron Weasley or Ronal Billium seemed to fit just right. In the movies Harry Potter Ron was explained at "Funny but insensitive and immature". We immediately knew that Tom and himself were a perfect match. The red hair just seemed to be a plus.

Manipulative - Uses Matt and makes him think he is nothing and worthless. That he is an animal. She takes control of him. - Chapters 4-6
Harsh - Talks down to people, Has a a very high class attitude, treats people below her as nothing, Harsh tone of voice. Chapters 4-6
Un loving - Acts as though the world sucks, hates life, doesn't appreciate anything. - Pg, 39

Caring - Acts as a mother towards Matt even though she knows he is not human. - Pg 48

Has an old soul - Knows more then he should, No education and he's young but he knows much more then he should be able to. - I couldn't find a specific page because he seems to display this through out the whole book.
Love of life - Loves all small creatures, fascinated by small things - Pg 45, 46

Speech: Stutters and does not have a very loud voice, like El Patrón he can make his voice loud
Thoughts: Thinks he is worthless and wishes he could be human, wants to make himself more like a human so people will forget he is a clone.
Effects On Others: He makes others uncomfortable because he is a clone. He makes people feel "dirty". But he also to some people is like a child and brings smiles and laughs to people (Celia, El Patrón)
Actions: Keeps to himself, sometimes loses control and makes people upset.

Dishonest - Lies about what he has down to Matt, acts as though he has done nothing wrong, secretly treats people with no respect - Pg 66,
Immaturely mature - Tom acts and treats others as though he is much older and he is wiser and tougher, knows everything, when in reality he is young and rather immature. - Pg 65

Effects On Others: leaves people feeling confused because they think he is such a good kid, makes people upset with the pranks he pulls, makes people feel worthless (Matt) by calling them names.
Actions: ALways in everyone business, bugging everyone.
